This thing is a godsend! I've spent many bath times losing my grip on wet, soapy and slippery as hell dogs that were geniuses when it came to escaping the bath tub. This is secured to the dog by what looks like a slip knot, and that made me a bit nervous.
KI was afraid my puppy would strangle himself. I was THRILLED to find that the slip knot can be secured by twisting the metal clamp on that end of the cable, which prevents it from expanding and contracting by itself. The suction side is easy to attach and solid, it doesn't slide around once it's wet (or fall off completely). My puppy is only about 10 lbs and won't get much bigger, so I can't speak to how well this will stand up to bigger/stronger dogs - I personally think it would, but don't hold me to that!
I really think this will save me from something I've had to do so many times I've lost count - having to sop up all the water and soap trailed throughout the house when my dog escapes directly from the tub and proceeds to get the zooms (he's Olympic level squirmy AND fast). Absolutely recommended for anyone who gives their pets baths at home, you won't regret it!!

This is a good find for anyone who has a dog that fights them at bath time or tries to escape the tub they're in. The cable should be strong enough to support even the strongest of dogs, but don't be naive enough to think the suction cup is going to be effective for you. This isn't the application for a suction cup. At all. Grab a screw eye with a small thread size, put it into a stud nearby the grooming station, and attach your hook to that. Quick solution to a small issue. Other than that, the cable should serve it's purpose for you 100%. And just a quick bit of advice. I know this may be common sense to some, but I just want everyone to be safe. This could pose a hang risk for your dog, so please don't leave him/her unattended with this attached to them.
